Day Camp Program
Buckaroo & Brave Program
Buckaroo and Brave campers will travel as a tribe unit, with a schedule tailored to suit their age-appropriate needs. These campers visit all the activities at Camp Widjiwagan, so they will have the opportunity to challenge themselves and discover new interests.
Warrior & Thunderbird Program
Camp Widjiwagan's curriculum is designed to provide a safe, supportive environment where children can have fun and learn new skills. In addition to participating in all waterfront activities, Warrior and Thunderbird campers develop independence by exploring their own interests during each day's land activities. With help from their counselor, campers decide which activities to pursue, working through increasing levels of skills and competence. Progress is recorded as campers learn more and more, carrying achievements over from summer to summer. Self-confidence and good sportsmanship are reinforced through individual instruction and group activities.
*Day Campers must be signed up for Widji Ski School to attend
Dog Tags
Dog tags are a special motivational tradition at Widjiwagan. The dog tag system was developed to reward campers for good work, as well as goal setting, in all of the various activities. Experienced staff members provide expert coaching and individual instruction in all activities, challenging campers to excel while learning new skills. The dog tags are awarded on the finial night of camp at the Family Night celebration.
